" I have been asked what I mean by word of honor. I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls- walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground- there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first." -Karl G. Maeser

I think it is extremely important to stay to your truth. IF you know you're not going to do something it's better to not say it. There really isn't a point to doing so. All it does is destroy a relationship whom you promised something to. It is completely avoidable. There is no point to it. It's being scared of saying the truth and being honest with what you can do. I've had many times were I had a chance to cheat on a test because the teacher needed to go get something or he was busy on the phone and the girl next to me is odne and loks like she has 100% on her test. I think it's bad to cheat and if I didn't pass the test it's because I didn't understand the material exactly. I always turn in my work once I'm supposed to even if I have a chance to copy someone or finish it quickly I just turn it in. I think of it as kind of self discipline.
