"1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6. Do what you know to be right.
7. Look after the well being of mind and body.
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
10. Take full responsibility for your actions."

These are the 10 Indian Commandments. What the main focus of these are is to respect everyone and have good integrity with the earth and yourself. What I like about these is how general they are. You could do the smallest thiung and it still counts as following a comandment. These are just too good of life choices. It's just the epitome of a good human being. Makes me wonder about how most were killed and massacred because they were good and welcoming. Sad honestly.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails." - Henry David Thoreau

Those people who went to jail got caught up in a system set for them to fail. They never went above their circumstances and they paid a consequence that will affect them forever. I think it's important to be self aware of what is good and what is not. It's a skill that might save your life. You have many decisions and opportunities over your life. It's just a matter of what you do and you don't decide to do. Life is all decisions and if you don't get into a habit of doing good you'll regret it sooner or later. Sometimes you'll chose the right decision and something might go wrong but it's worse when you do the wrong thing and something might really go wrong.

"Character is higher than intellect." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Character should be valued higher than intellect. Intellect is something you use to your advantage at times but your character will always be there. You deal with people almost all the time. If you're unkind but you present yourself as mighty and intelligent then you're seen as stuck up. No one likes a person who is stuck up and has way too much confidence in themselves.  If anything I think intellect and character go hand in hand. I think some of the smartest people I know are also very good and kind. When you're smart you know how to act around people and not be ignorant. The less ignorant you are the more respectful you are. Some people who don't know how to act around people usually put down the idea of being educated. Being educated means being aware and having manners.

"They're only truly great who are truly good." -George Chapman
If you do good in an honest way you are great. People even look at you as a great person. If people hear about the good things you did, people will see how great of a person you are. If a person fakes their good reputation then they're not really good. They're not "truly great" at all. Even if no one knows who you are or what you do. You simply are truly great whether it is recognized by people or not.
