Duties and Responsibilities: A person who tests videogames before a deadline for any glitches or bugs that can be found in the game. They make unusual decisions and very likely decisions the person playing the game might make.

Yeah I would want to because I explore almost every part of the game and find the strangest glitches. Some of the parts are looked over. So it's hard to actually play them when I'm so concerned about detail and going the way no one else does.

Trauma Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: They deal with emergency situations in the hospital and are able to deal with situations where the disease or condition isn't known.

This does sound interesting. I've always liked the trauma centers in hospitals and I've always wondered what it's like to work there and what the environment is like.

Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: They treat communication and swallowing problems.

Education: Master's degree in speech pathology and language pathology.
Demand for this particular career: 18% as the baby boom generation grows older.

No I don't think so. I wouldn't want to be a pathologist for that specifically maybe for something else. Speech pathology is interesting though because living with speech or swallowing issues is really hard to do.

Reflexology

Duties and Responsibilities: Alternative treatments help improve chronic pain, allergies, and digestive issues.

Education: Associate's degree in massage therapy and courses in reflexology.
Demand for this particular career: It is expected to grow by 24%.

This doesn't really suit my interest. I don't like any career involving therapy or massages. It doesn't really seem like a job for me.

Registered Nursing

I considered nursing for a while but I never actually cared that much for something like nursing. It sounds like an interesting profession though.

Recreation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: They are therapists that use hobbies and activities toi help improve someones mental, physical, and emotional well being.

Education: Bachelor's degree

No I don't think I would want to be that. It's probably a job I'd do well though since I'm good at taking people's interests and making it help them out.

X Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: These technicians help create images from x rays of the body so doctors could see where the probolem is and diagnose and later treat.

I think I would like to be one. I think it's interesting and it isn't like a minor job.
 

Radiation Oncologist

Duties and Responsibilities: They oversee radiation treatment.

Education: Completion of a degree in medicine, two years of medicine hospital, 5 year training program in radiation oncology.

I don't think I would. I'm just not interested that much in it.

Pulmonary Medical Physician

Duties and Responsibilities: They diagnose and come up with treatmentr plans involving the lungs and the issues.

Education: Bachelors degree, 4 years of medical school, 3 years of internal medicine residency program.
Demand for this particular career: High demand.

Maybe not specifically a pulmonologist but I would want to be in some sort of inner medicine.

Psychologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychologists work to better understand the human mind and its thought process. They also can provide counseling for better mental health.

Education: Undergraduate degree and grad degree.

No I don't have much of an interest for psychology or mental health. I think its important and cool but I personally wouldn't do it.

Psychiatric Aide

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychiatric Aides help people with mental ilnesses/disorders to help them with tasks that are difficult for them. They help them manage self care and they help group therapies and group activities in usually hospitals.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Demand for this particular career: High number of mentally ill population.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?
I don't think I'd do too well in this field. I don't really like being in charge of other people. I'd be interested but I have bad rehabilitation skills.

Podiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities: They provide medical care dealing with foot, ankle, or lower leg issues. They treat injuries and do surgery. They may also diagnose issues involving the foot ankle or lower leg.

Education: They need a doctorate or professional degree.
Demand for this particular career: 10% more than average because of the aging population and the population that will have diabetes and obesity related foot problems.

I'm not too interested in this field at all. I wouldn't want to perform surgery or anything like that. Surgery is something I definitely would not want to do.

Plastic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: They do work to repair people's skin damage, fix the broken bones of clients, or reconstruct the face. They also make clients look youthful looking or modify people's faces or bodies.

Education: Must complete an undergraduate degree with pre medical courses such as biology, chemistry, and physics.

I think plastic surgery is interesting I would actually consider being a plastic surgeon. I really hate seeing botched jobs on people and I would want to provide good plastic surgery care.

Physical Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnosing issues and dysfunctions in movement and rehabilitating the patient to better move.

Education: Doctoral or Professional Degree

I wouldn't really want to be a therapist of any sort. I think it's interesting how certain movements can help the healing process of something damaged.

Pharmacist

Duties and Responsibilities: Pharmacists dispense medication, prescribe, counsel, and communicate with patients.

Education: Coursework in biology, physics, chemistry, math, humanities, and social sciences.
Demand for this particular career: 6%. Demand increases when we demand more prescriptions.

Yeah I think it's interesting. There's a possibility that I would actually do this. I just wonder about the math part of it, what do they calculate?

Research Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: They clean lab equipment, conduct interviews, search for background information, work at academic institutions and non profit businesses.

Education: Bachelors and Masters degree in english and journalism, along with a doctorate degree as research assistants.
Demand for this particular career: grow 16%

Yes I think I would like to be a research assistant but a research manager seems cooler to me.

Pediatrician

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for diagnosing and examining children to young adults.

Education: 4 years of medical school and a 3-7 year internship or residency.
Demand for this particular career: It will grow to 24%.

No I don't really like kids. I think the profession is interesting but I wouldn't want to be a part of it.

Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: You examine body fluids for diagnosing diseases. These body fluids include blood, urine or tissues from biopsies. They also may find out how to determine the cause of death.

Education: 4 years of college and medical school and 4-5 years of residency.
Demand for this particular career: It will increase by 14%

Yeah I think it is pretty interesting. I don't know if Ill actually consider being one but it is up there in the list.

Osteopathic Physician

Duties and Responsibilities: They treat nerves, bones, joints, and muscles by prescribing medicine, performing surgery, and diagnosing illness.

Education: Bachelors degree and then acceptance into an educational program.
Demand for this particular career: Expected to grow 22%

No I find it interesting though. I don't think it's very suitable for me. Any type of physician I don't think is for me. I just don't have a specific interest for it.

President's Day

1. President's Day is originally George Washington's Birthday and it honors all the rest of the presidents.
2. It is on February 19.
3. You learn and commemorate the accomplishments of the presidents.
4. I can educate myself more on what the presidents did.
6. President's Day was a very nice thing in the Great Depression. It was a little hope that they were able to give so hopefully their country could be the same.
