If you have good honest values you tend to live by them and base your decisions on them. Therefore it is the most important thing you have. It is like a conscience. Without it you're left with almost nothing. Your good values rub off on other people too. So not only will it be the most important you can have but you set that example for others too. As Dennis mentioned it's hard to choose values over feelings. Each decision seems like a trial. But it's important to understand that even after you choose to stick with your good value it will pay off to no end. I liked the example about stealing and how you choose to get what you want because you feel like you want it instead of sticking with the moral that stealing is wrong.
