"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing." -Theodore Roosevelt.

The most general rule to follow is to choose the good decision. If you're unsure of what the good choice is it is best to follow what seems to be the right. For example with peer pressure, you might get asked to a party that you know is gonna be messy. a whole bunch of people are waiting for you to say yes. They're trying to hype you up so you say yes and they make a whole deal about it. Maybe you're a little confused as to what to do. You also promised you would pass by a friend's house and help them study for a test you already took. You didn't know you were gonna be invited out or you would have any plans. You have about 10 seconds to answer before they start asusming that youre playing around. You decide to stay helpful to your friend and say no and that you're busy that day. The fact that you chose to help someone rather than go do something else for you personally means you chose the right basically.
