"Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn't. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don't do it." -George Mitchell, Senate Majority Leader, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Disney Chairman of the Board.
Cheating can only guarantee a small amount of success but at a bad cost. Cheating in sports is terrible for the sole reason of everyone else who worked harder than you loses. You shortcut your way to your goal but you didn't actually get there yourself. So in reality it wasn't you winning anyways. When athletes use steroids there usually is a clouded amount of pressure on them to succeed. When you look at sports as you HAVE to succeed no matter what it kind of takes the point of sports away. I get that it's a career but in any job if you cheat you get fired and you're looked as less than. So many people want to be in a major league for every sport. They work extremely hard to make themselves be the best they can be and you worked your way up to that level up until you cheated. So not only do you undermine your teammates hard work and effort but you ruin your own effort.
